Renowned Musician to Play at St. Paul's, Mt. Lebanon

Fran McKendree, well known contemporary worship musician, will be in concert at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, Mount Lebanon, on April 12 at 7 p.m.
In the 1970’s, McKendree and his band, McKendree Spring, shared the stage with the likes of the Everly Brothers, Fleetwood Mac and Elton John. After experiencing life away from recording, McKendree returned with a deeper understanding of what music truly meant to him. He states in an interview on his website, “I came through that time with an awareness that music was very important to me, that I'd been given a gift. That I could sing, play, connect with people through music. [It was] something I couldn't just walk away from. So I began to work with young people in a network under the aegis of the Episcopal Church.”
All are invited to attend this special evening of music. A free-will offering will be taken at the event, with an ice cream social scheduled to follow. McKendree will also be playing as a part of the 10:15 a.m. service on Sunday, April 13. For more information, please go to www.stpaulspgh.org, or call 412-531-7153.
